Nuphedrine Reviewed

nuphedrineNuphedrine brands itself as “clinically proven weight-loss technology,” but it’s really a clinically proven health hazard.

The health experts at DietResearch.com are not comfortable with two out of three Nuphedrine ingredients. One has a host of dangerous side-effects, and the other has been shown to spark only minimal weight-loss results.

Nuphedrine almost as bad as Ephedra

Safety and Quality

DietResearch.com has some serious qualms with Nuphedrine ingredients.

Advantra-Z is a patented version of citrus aurantium—better known as bitter orange peel. This ingredient—used to replace the now banned ephedra—has been shown to be almost as dangerous as its predecessor.

According to a report by the New York Times: “Bitter orange peel, weight-loss specialists warn, may be as dangerous as ephedra, which had been the subject of thousands of reports of adverse reactions, including heart attack, stroke and sudden death. Its main component, synephrine, is chemically similar to ephedrine, the active ingredient in ephedra.”

While it may be as sketchy as ephedra, it’s not as effective.

“There are no clinical studies that show it’s an effective weight loss agent,” said Adam Myers, a professor of physiology and biophysics at Georgetown University Medical Center in Washington.

Slimaluma is Nuphedrine’s patented version of Caralluma Fimbriata, which has been shown to promote weight loss, but at a very slow rate. A 2006 Indian study showed patients taking Caralluma Fimbriata only lost slightly more weight than those taking placebos.

Its only quality ingredient is Hoodia, which contains the appetite suppressant P57.

Effectiveness

Does Nuphedrine work? Hoodia is a good weigh-loss supplement, but its not enough to make the Nuphedrine effective. Nuphedrine reviews are mixed.

Cost

A one-month supply costs $75.

Customer Service

We couldn’t find a listing for Nuphedrine on the Better Business Bureau, which is suspicious. Nuphedrine customer reviews don’t speak highly of the company:

“When I ordered my Nuphedrine it was over the phone. … The man I talked with said that I would recieve 6 months for $170 (there was a promotion that if you bought 4 months you get 2 free). So I recieve my package (2 days late) and there are only 4 boxes. I called and talked to Ceci – supposedly the manager of customer service. I explained that I only recieved 4 of the 6 boxes. She would not give me any information at all or let me talk to her boss. She doesn’t “remember” the guy I ordered from and since they are a new company they didn’t have the phone recordings working yet. I’ve spent HOURS trying to get this figured out.” – Stacie

“I returned the product but never received my refund. Their customer service is terrible.” – J.P.

Money-back guarantee

Nuphedrine offers a full money-back guarantee within 60 days. But some consumers allege they do not honor this policy.

Conclusion

Nuphredrine is expensive, unhelpful, and possibly dangerous. We suggest you look at our best diet pills ranked to find a more legitimate weight-loss supplement.
